Another bitterly disappointing night for the few Spain haters amongst us. Same old story, ten thousand passes, no real shots on target apart from their strange goal. On the other hand, how Croatia did not score that header is beyond me. In the other game, a cracking goal from Balotelli saw the Italians through.
In our competition, in terms of predictions, 2-0 was quite popular in the Italy v Ireland game and only Katherine Kent put Spain to win 1-0, well done!!
The leaderboard has changed slightly with Mark Taylor easing into joint second place, but Dean is still topping the pile! But still plenty to play for, these games are so unpredictable, I still feel that I am in contention in 32nd!!
As for tonight, all I can say is come on England and bring on Spain or Italy…
