I have heard from some quarters that some people cannot open the pdf’s I have posted on this site. At home I am using Adobe Acrobat 9. Checking the settings it says that the pdf’s should be compatible back to v6.
For those of you in the ONS who cannot open the files, this means that you must be on at most v5. Version 5 was introduced in 2001, which by using my kung fu statistical skills I can tell the software is over 9 years old. Firstly I would suggest a helpdesk call to get this upgraded. Secondly, our friends in the private sector can be rest assured that the ONS do not spend vast amounts of money keeping bang up-to-date with the latest software.
