As the first ball is kicked in this years World Cup, we have 41 entrants to our competition. As per horse racing, we will be paying four places given the number of runners. I have also set-up a knockout competition, which will start after the group games and will give the people who have blown the first round out their arse to have another go! As a result the prize allocation is as follows (rounded for shrapnel avoidance reasons):

Russia v Saudi Arabia
A reassuring start from the hosts with a 5-0 win over a Saudi team that looked ineffective. Nice to see some positive football from the Russians who normally bore people to death. No surprise that no-one predicted that one, and no-one was even close!
