So the time every four years that FIFA test the multi tasking skills of men around the world. In the early games, Australia without Cahill were always going to struggle against Spain and so it proved, with Spain winning 3-0.
In the other game, where both Chile and Netherlands had already qualified, Netherlands surprised me by winning.
In the evening games, Brazil got their shit together and scored four goals against a disorganised Cameroon team. However Cameroon also showed that Brazil are vulnerable at the back. Tiago Silva doesn’t look convincing to me. It will be interesting to see how they fair against the organised Chile team.
In the other game Mexico had another convincing performance and look solid at the back. They easily beat a talent packed Croatia team. Most entertaining of all was the Mexican manager – he should have his own dedicated channel. Marvellous.
This set of matches marked the end of round 4. The yellow cap winner for this round is Gemma who edged out our current leader Dean.
