Ireland v Belgium
Belgium finally found their shooting boots – Ireland found wanting. Ireland were holding Belgium but not producing anything up front. However after the first goal, Ireland were chasing and Belgium took advantage. Belgium are still shit and may not even get out of the group still. C’mon Sweden.
Iceland v Hungary

Iceland led for most of the game with a penalty. There must have been ten per cent of their country in the stadium for that game – great fans. In the end Hungary managed to get a draw and break Icelandic hearts.
Portugal v Austria
What a hilarious game – despite masses of chances Ronaldo was unable to score, even when he had a penalty. He is definitely losing in the Ronaldo v Bale battle!!! Austria on the other hand were abject – given they lost their first game you would have thought they would have been a bit more positive, but based on this game I’m not sure they know how. Reckon Portugal will still qualify, but it will be as tight as a gnats chuff.
Results and Leaderboard
Lots to Belgium to win, and Iceland 1-1 and only a handful of draws in the final game – but only Dave Matthewson has the big balls to put 0-0. This result meant that he is wearing the yellow cap so far in this round followed closely by Gail Simmons.
Overall, Russ leads from Dean and then your faithful captain, who’s gone a bit off piste lately. Fourth is the Mr Matthewson, who when he gave me his fiver the other day thought he might not see it again – well he is up into the money positions now!
